We just wanted a place to grab some lunch and kill off an hour till check-in time at the hotel so we popped into the Hole in the Wall.  I couldn’t make out the text on the wall in the back corner and walked over to investigate:

Long John Silver‘s, eh?  Well, then of course I would have to have fish and chips.  It was a good batch, too.

It’s a decent place to have a meal and great for the literary history.  The pop music on the tannoy is a bit loud and there were too many Americans and children to recommend it as a pub.

“Tis a fine place t’ take grub and great for t’ literary history. T’ pop music on t’ tannoy be a bit loud and thar were too many Americans and sprogs t’ recommend it as a pub.”
