Wembley was just a side stop on my way to meet Jackie for a drink after work.  The Ship is down an ancient alleyway near Lincoln Fields and a spectacular find on her part, but in the mid-evening it is absolutely rammed so we’ll each need to make a trip during the calmer hours to get a better look at the interior (dining upstairs so maybe a winter meal is in order–the kitchen is currently being refurbished so this has to wait a month or so, anyway).

With no place to sit and the air inside a bit warm from the crowd, we joined the overflow in the alley and did what you do on a Friday: drink and commiserate about the work day just past and make plans for the weekend ahead.

It was my first Central London pub since we moved into the city and the atmosphere was grand.  It was not, however, my first post of the August 2016 Pub Per Day Challenge.
