Moon on the Hill Harrow

Sunday morning at 9 am, the air was thick with moisture, the clouds were thickening, and the bar at The Moon on the Hill  was serving.  I didn’t fancy the run back to the house but was fortified by the nutritious tonic that is a Lambeth Walk Porter.

It’s a bank holiday weekend so the schools are vacant and the town barely showed signs of life outside the pub.  This continued on the run home with the only humanoids I encountered a weird procession of the elderly hiking around the perimeter of a cricket pitch like the prisoners in Midnight Express or the zombies in the mall of Dawn of the Dead (or, indeed, like the zombies in the mall in your neighbourhood, right now).  The zombies in the Moon on the Hill were much more focused on their lagers when I left them.
