Coronet, Holloway, London   Leave a comment

Wetherspoons doing what they do best: re-purposing a grand old building and filling it with better than average beer choices.  At the Coronet, an old movie house, I finished my run with a Kentish stout from Westerham:

Despite the overly warm day, it was less stuffy out back in what passes for a beer garden but is really just the nicotine lounge.

This was obviously a grand picture palace in its day (with an ignominious end although the last films, Blade Runner double billed with Body Heat, were as good a death as you could ask for in 1983).  The wee insult of a screen they have up now is probably dedicated to sport.  Still, it is a ‘Spoons, so you can get that 9 am beer and breakfast.
