So, the Three Tuns was the first pub I ever drank in (as a British Citizen, #1602 since the start of the original blog, and a few dozen deeper than that dating back to the early 00’s).  We left the Registry Office with my new credentials and did what it is that we do.

The bar is on two levels but really more than that as there is a semi-open area off to the side on sort of a mezzanine.  We took our medicinal wine and beer out back to bask in the filtered sunlight and recover from the emotional (and, oddly, dull) ceremony.  Jackie had the good sense or recklessness to seal the deal with tequila.

Built mostly in the 16th (although the older looking lower bar is from the 17th) century, this is one of the more atmospheric houses I’ve been to in the last year or so.
