Harrow, Harrow on the Hill, Middlesex   Leave a comment



The Harrow is kind of a huge cavern of a pub and on Friday evening it didn’t yet seem too crowded but large clusters of people congregated in isolated areas that certainly would soon combine with others into an unstirable squish of humanity.  I grabbed a booth upstairs to try to medicate my headache with some codeine washed down with a pint of ale.




It didn’t work, and that was the start of a weekend ill with some vile upper respiratory infection.

Oh, the album cover above was framed in the booth where I convalesced.  Turns out Ian Dury is a local boy
(born in Harrow Weald).  I guess that’s a Reason To Be Cheerful.
