Green Man, Paddington, London   1 comment

The Green Man was a surprisingly nice pub considering the building also houses a hostel. I expected (nay, hoped for) a dive but it seemed like a fairly high functioning and almost traditional pub. My pleasure was only partly mitigated by the place being rammed from anus to gills with hipsters.

And, I found a very nice stout on the pumps which served to tick off Day 9 of the Great Advent Stout/Porter Calendar of 2016. Prices were good, they have a well-received burger kitchen, and it is right next to the Bakerloo entrance of Edgeware Road Station.  The building dates to 1720 (always a pub), and they have a spectacular array of gins that may be worthy of a springtime challenge.
