King’s Head, Barnet, London   1 comment

I came into Barnet via a slightly different route than planned but the fellows at the Sun had assured me there were plenty of pubs to choose from.  They were right but without a recommendation it was something of a crap shoot but I got lucky, again, with the King’s Head.

The music choices made on the jukebox before I arrived were tolerable to very good and the house actually had some real ale on the pumps although it seems a lager population.

Best entertainment was at the pool table where a middle-aged guy who was, in objective terms, worthless with the cue was playing an arabic or turkish teenager who was so bad as to make the older man look like a shark.  They had broken the rack before I arrived and the black ball was still being chased around the felt when I left.  Hilarious.
