Minerva, Hull, East Riding   1 comment

The Minerva is a good pub but the reason it is so packed is that it has such a good location (looking out on the Humber) and centrally located with respect to tourists (which is also why The Minerva can charge London prices for the marginally ‘off’ beer they serve.

It also serves food and the scent of the fish and chips the Japanese couple near me were served was delectable (and I think they only turned up their noses because English treats are not for everyone).

So, yeah…the Minerva is worth a look and maybe a meal but there are as good (or even better) bars a short walk away.  There are worse ones in the vicinity, too.
