The Stapleton Tavern, Stroud Green, London   Leave a comment

“Let me just leave this with you a mo,” some fellow said to the bartender at the Stapleton Tavern whilst waving a smart phone at him.
“I don’t want to be responsible for this,” joked the bartender.
“It will be fine. Who’d want to steal THIS?” and he waved an archaic i-Phone around for the rest of us to see.
“Ooooo. That’s NICE,” I remarked.
“Watch this guy,” the fellow said as he handed over the device. I paid for my cider and moved around to the large lounge.

This had not been my first choice, but it seemed like a fairly hip bar. I planned to go to the Old Dairy across the way (since it fit into the theme of the day’s run), but they were closed for a private function. Serendipitously, there were cow skulls on the wall my new room. Very nice, indeed.
