The Postal Order, Crystal Palace, London   1 comment

Pub #2099:

The planned and mapped run would have taken me from one ‘spoons to another and the actual run did as well except that the second one, the Postal Order, was miles away from the mapped one.  Cheap beer is cheap beer, so I was a happy — if wet — jogger.

A golden ale of some sort awaited me after my baptismal immersion in the steady rain and soon I was wedged into the Sunday morning congregation taking my wheatie communion and trying to assess whether any of the contradictory stories held a way to go (much less the One Way).

The pub used to be sorting offices, hence the name.  I didn’t notice the little blue plaque in the window to the right, above, until I put the photo in this article; but, that’s probably what it says.
